Steve Harper is set to be on his way from Newcastle United.

The Mail on Sunday says North-East rivals Middlesbrough are ready to give Harper the regular first-team opportunity he craves when his contract runs out at the end of the campaign.

Boro are just one of several options open to the Sunderland-born keeper, who believes he could have a chance of breaking into Fabio Capello's World Cup reckoning if he played regular Premier League football.
