Middlesbrough are closing on a deal for Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford and midfielder George Saville.
The Daily Express says the pair are on Boro's radar as the club continue building a squad worthy of reaching the Premier League by the end of the season.
Bamford was in fine form on loan at Derby and MK Dons last term, while Saville played a key part in Brentford's promotion from League One.
Boro boss Aitor Karanka has strong links with the Stamford Bridge club after working as Jose Mourinho's assistant at Real Madrid.
