Middlesbrough midfielder Adam Clayton is still hopeful of his side's survival chances this season.
Boro haven't won a league game since their win over Swansea City in December and currently remain six points adrift of safety in 19th spot.
However, Clayton believes that a victory can change the course of Boro's season.
He said: "It is difficult to come out of games like that.
"We have to come out on the right side in the next few games. One win will change it all.
"There were a few chances that could have gone in. But we will not go down because we have been unlucky, we will go down because we haven't been good enough - if we do. That's the story.
"We have to make our own luck."
