Middlesbrough have made a final take-it, or leave-it offer for Reading midfielder James Harper.
The Sunday Sun says Boro have tabled a £5 million bid for Harper - and told Reading they will NOT improve it.
A Boro source said: "This will be the last offer. We don't think Steve Coppell wants to sell but £5 million is a very good offer. We have kept upping our offer and they have kept upping the price."
