Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate is set to launch a bid for Fulham midfielder Jimmy Bullard.

The Daily Mail says Southgate plans a fresh move for Bullard but he may have to sacrifice Luke Young as part of the deal.

Southgate hopes to sign Bullard but there are snags in the deal. Young enjoyed a fine first season in the north-east following his £2m move from Charlton but would accept a switch back to the capital, which he believes could resurrect his England career.
