Middlesbrough keeper Schwarzer: Three more years

Middlesbrough keeper Mark Schwarzer is confident he has at least another three years left in him and has set his sights on the 2010 World Cup finals.

The 35-year-old Australia international, who represented his country in the last finals in Germany in 2006, is determined to continue his club career at the highest level to ensure he is ready and able to take to the big stage once again when the time comes.

Schwarzer said: "My goal is to play at the next World Cup for Australia in 2010 - and that's my goal at the very minimum for club level.

"I know I have to be playing at the very highest level to make that goal realistic, or to have the opportunity of making that goal realistic.

"I have no intention at this moment in time to stop playing domestically. I still feel I have got another two or three years at least in me, and the only way you can prove to people that's the case is by going out there and playing, and playing well."
