Middlesbrough keeper Jones casts aside injury worries for club survival

Middlesbrough goalkeeper Brad Jones will shake off a dislocated finger to take the gloves against Fulham on the weekend. Jones will be at opposite ends to his mentor, Mark Schwarzer, as Boro strive to keep aloft in the Premier League.

The Australian dislocated his finger in the 3-1 win over Hull City last week but will be right to take on the Cottagers according to Boro goalkeeping coach Stephen Pears.

"Brad's little finger on his left hand popped out," said Pears.

"It had to be put in place by our medical head Grant Dowie at half-time and it was strapped to the next finger.

"Obviously the question was asked whether Brad was able to play in the second half, but he wanted to get back out there and he showed a lot of guts to do what he did and get through the game.

"He has suffered no after effects, he's trained all week and he'll be fully fit for Saturday."
