Middlesbrough have swooped for Tottenham fullback Kyle Naughton.
The Daily Mail says Middlesbrough manager Gordon Strachan has won the race to sign Tottenham right-back Kyle Naughton for the rest of the season.
Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp rates the England under-21 defender highly after seeing off fierce competition from Everton to sign him from Sheffield United for over £5million six months ago.
But he is willing to let him go out on loan to gain first-team experience and has been inundated with enquiries from Barclays Premier League and Coca Cola Championship clubs.
Relegation-threatened Hull and Championship promotion candidates West Brom appeared to be the favourites to land him but have been pipped by a late move from Strachan, as the former Celtic manager attempts to arrest a slide in Middlesbrough's fortunes and steer them pack towards the pack chasing elevation to the top flight.
