Al-Riyadiyyah says Boro are in talks with Al-Qahtani's club Al Hilal about a January deal for the attacking midfielder.
The Saudi Arabia international said: "I won't leave Riyadh for a place except Europe. This being said, I have to assess all the aspects of the Middlesbrough offer so that nothing will be left to chance."
