Ernest Goult, 72, has been banned from football for three years after being found guilty of directing racist gestures towards Blackburn Rovers striker Rudy Gestede.

The incident took place back in November at the Riverside Stadium when Goult was seen making monkey gestures at the direction of Gestede following Blackburn Rovers' equalizer in the last minute.

Having now been found guilty by the Teesside Magistrates Court, Goult has now been banned from football for three years.
