Middlesbrough are eyeing Everton winger Yannick Bolasie.
The Northern Echo says Boro boss Tony Pulis is keen to recruit a winger to replace Adama Traore - who joined Wolves before the end of the Premier League transfer window - and is keen on a reunion with Bolasie.
The pair worked together at Crystal Palace.
Middlesbrough held talks with the Blues over a possible switch before last Thursday's Deadline Day but Bolasie refused to consider a move as he hoped for interest from the top flight.
After no other bids materialised, however, Bolasie has accepted he has no future with the club and Boro will now compete with Aston Villa to land the 29-year-old.
