Middlesbrough chairman will resist Liverpool, Chelsea offers for Gibson

Middlesbrough chairman Steve Gibson is determined not to lose captain Ben Gibson this summer.

Gibson is determined to keep his nephew at the club and wants him to lead their promotion charge next season, says the Daily Mail.

The 24-year-old has been linked with Chelsea and Liverpool in recent months after winning his first England call-up in March.

Chairman Gibson will resist any offers for the centre-back rather than attempt to cash in while his stock his high.
