Middlesbrough chairman Gibson fancies "one or two more additions"

Middlesbrough chairman Steve Gibson admits their summer spending may continue after they finalise a deal for Arsenal fullback Justin Hoyte.

"We are not looking for massive changes among the squad - we've done that within the last 12 months," Gibson told the club's website.

"If you look at the players we've brought in it's been virtually every position, plus the emergence of one or two players from the Academy, and we believe this is a very good squad.

"If we go into this season with this group after August 31 we will not be unhappy.

"We would be happier with the addition of one or two. If it happens it happens, if it doesn't we will not lose any sleep over it."
