Middlesbrough caretaker boss Steve Agnew is adamant he's the man to keep them up.
Aitor Karanka's former No. 2 takes charge of Boro for the first time on Sunday against Manchester United at the Riverside following the Spaniard's departure yesterday.
“I have a clear view of what I exactly what is needed," said Agnew, who worked alongside Karanka for two and a half years after a spell at Hull.
“That's what I aim to deliver.
"The players know where we are and what we have to do to get out of the position we are in.
"I would never say a bad word against Aitor but I do believe we will stay in the Premier League and I am capable of delivering it.
“I think I have served my time and this is something I have always wanted to do.
“I've had opportunities in the past but never felt they were quite right.
To be given this one is everything you need but then you have to grasp it."
