Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate says Tuncay Sanli's impact on Teesside has been "like a breath of fresh air".

"He's a breath of fresh air in the way he plays the game," he told Boro's website. "He has great energy levels, he's a great player and is popular in the dressing room.

"He has gone out of his way to learn English and now understands plenty and speaks well too considering he only came here a few months ago."
