Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate is convinced young goalkeeper Ross Turnbull can be a Premiership regular.
After Turnbull's performance at Reading, Southgate told the Evening Gazette: "I was really pleased with Ross. He showed a good temperament and made several good saves.
"It was very disappointing to concede from a long ball but in no way should that detract from what was a fine individual effort from him.
"I knew that Ross would cope with the demands of the game and now he has to learn from it and be even stronger."
