Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate has no problem with the aggression being shown by Emanuel Pogatetz for Austria at the Euros.

He told the Evening Gazette: "Emanuel cares passionately about his country and I don't know all the ins and outs of how they run things there but obviously he has been up for this for a couple of years and I assume he knows there aren't a lot of goals in their side so when they concede so early it's a big blow for them.

"It's not for me to comment on how they play for their counties, I think he is very proud to represent them and hope they can go further."
