Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate has highlighted the commitment of Turkish star Tuncay Sanli.
"While he was injured the Turkish manager (Fatih Terim) asked specifically if he could fly to their game (October's World Cup qualifier against Bosnia- Herzegovina) because he's one of the leaders in their group," said Southgate.
"They've got quite a young team and he's one of the seniors, so the manager wanted him there. But while he was away we got messages from him after the Wigan game saying how delighted he was that we'd won.
"That's typical of him - he's in there with us. He's an infectious character.
"When he signed for us and joined up with the squad for the first time, we were in Austria for pre-season. Fenerbahce were staying near us and a load of their players came over to see him. He's a great team person."
