Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate is confident his new-look attack of Tuncay Sanli and Jeremie Aliadiere will get goals this season, despite Saturday's defeat to Blackburn Rovers.
He said: "I thought they added a lot to the team, they had pace and energy and both players showed how committed they are and Tuncay very nearly created a goal for Jeremie.
"They are players with different strengths to Mark Viduka, who played with his back to goal - now players who give a different sort of problem and who deserved more than they got."
