Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray has welcomed the loan signing of Chelsea midfielder Josh McEachran.

McEachran, 19, agreed a season-long loan deal yesterday and will go straight into Boro's side for tonight's Championship home clash with Burnley.

Boss Mowbray said: "Josh is a Premier League talent but was going to find it hard to get in at Chelsea this year.

"They felt he needed to go to a team that's going to suit the way he likes to play. Let's see if we can help him and he can help us."
