Former Celtic manager Tony Mowbray has revealed that the Scottish giants still owe him money.
The Middlesbrough boss, was sacked from his role at Celtic Park in March last year, but remained on the payroll as a severance deal could be agreed upon.
Now 'Mogga' has come out and said that he relinquished around £350,000 to move into the job at the Riverside Stadium in North East England as the Hoops hierarchy were not about to play fair and give him his money before he departed.
"I had three or four other offers before the Boro one came along. I was owed a lot of money by Celtic and they weren't prepared to do a deal to allow me to take those jobs," he said.
"I thought they were being unfair so I waited - then the Boro job came up. We knew we had to do something with Celtic. I wrote off around £350,000 to take the job.
"That's not me boasting, it's just the way it is. I wanted to get back to work. I needed to get back in."
