Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka is confident he has the support of the board.
Karanka believes his job remains secure.
He said: "I am the first to be critical so I do not need to hear more.
"The most difficult moment was when I arrived, but the president was the first to send me confidence, I do not need to hear him every day.
"I'm trying to convey confidence to my players because it is from there that we will reach safety."
