Middlesbrough boss Karanka 'hurt' by barracking of own fans

Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka admits barracking from Boro fans has hurt him.

Karanka says he was hurt by Middlesbrough's supporters calling for him to leave the club - but insists he will not walk away.

"As a person you can imagine (I was hurt)," he said.

"Sometimes it is a good thing when you are foreign that you don't understand. But when someone told me what they were singing, as a person you can feel something hard. As a coach you understand, but you have to separate the person and the coach.

"I don't want to divide the crowd into those who chant against me or the ones who sing my name. All of them are the same, all of them want the same for Middlesbrough, the same thing I want for Middlesbrough."
