Middlesbrough defender Jonathan Grounds is delighted to have settled his future at the Riverside after he signed a new two-year contract. The 22-year-old committed himself to the Riverside until 2012 after holding talks with boss Gordon Strachan.
"I spoke to the gaffer at the end of the season and he said he wanted to keep me," Grounds told the club's official website.
"It's going to be an exciting time here. The club is going to make a big push to get back in the Premier League and I want to be a part of that."
