Middlesbrough are expected to try again for Crystal Palace midfielder Ben Watson.

The Times says Middlesbrough are likely to pursue their interest in Watson after having a bid for the midfield player turned down by Palace.

The Teesside club may be prepared to offer in excess of £1 million for Watson, who is out of contract this summer, but, as Watson is younger than 24, Palace would still be entitled to a transfer fee.
