Nigel Pearson and Garry Monk have emerged as the two leading candidates for the vacant manager's job at Middlesborough, according to Sky Sports.
Boro were recently relegated from the Premier League after just one season.
The Teeside club are looking to hire their first permanent manager since Aitor Karanka left in March, with assistant Steve Agnew taking over on an interim basis for the remainder of the season.
Former Leicester manager Nigel Pearson has been in continual discussion with Boro, and Monk, who recently quit as manager of Leeds, held his first meeting at the Riverside this week.
