Sunderland legend Micky Gray believes that Jack Wilshere will be a good fit for either of the two Manchester clubs.

Arsenal midfielder Wilshere is currently out on loan at AFC Bournemouth and his long-term future with the Gunners is in real doubt at the moment as he has not yet signed a contract extension at the Emirates Stadium despite his current deal only having 15 months left to run.

A number of Premier League clubs are currently monitoring the contractual situation of Wilshere and former Black Cats ace Gray has stated that the England international would be the 'perfect fit' for Manchester United or Manchester City.

Gray said on talkSPORT: "Jack Wilshere is good enough to play in any of those top six sides.

"He's played at the highest level internationally, he's played Champions League football and he doesn't ever really let anyone down when he plays.

"If you want to buy English this summer, where else do you go? I think he's the perfect fit for one of the Manchester sides. You're buying a 25-year-old player, who had experience but still has his best years ahead of him. He's still got another seven or eight years.

"I think he'd be at a decent price. If you have to go and pay £25m or £30m for Jack Wilshere, that's still a bargain!"
