Michael Dawson is working his way back for Hull City.
The defender has spent nearly three months sidelined with knee ligament damage he picked up during the Tigers pre-season game at Mansfield back in July.
Captain Dawson cannot wait to pull on the striped shirt once again.
He said: “It's been a frustrating time for me. When you are in the treatment room, it's the worst part of being a footballer.
“It's difficult at times but you know if you work hard during your rehabilitation period you'll get your reward. I've worked hard to be where I am now.
“I'm just about ready to return to action.
“The boys have been magnificent given everything thrown at us during the summer. And I can't wait to get the kit back on and be involved."
