Miami FC defender Gale Agboussoumonde is close to signing a six-month loan deal with Swedish Allvenskan outfit Djurgardens IF.

The 19-year old, who made his international debut for the USA in November, has been on trial with the Stockholm club for the past few weeks.

It is likely that the Togo-born Agboussoumonde will soon join the club temporarily but nothing has yuet been sorted as stated by Djurgardens press officer Jonas Riedel.

"Nothing has been signed at the moment," Riedel told MLSsoccer.com. "The papers have not been completed, but we are very close to an agreement."

Riedel admitted that the club's centre of defence had been letting them down recently and confirmed they were looking at strengthening that particular area.

"It is a position where we need some numbers," added Riedel. "It has been a bit of a weak area, so we will bring in two center backs."
