David Beckham's plans for a MLS expansion franchise in Miami are strengthening with news that he is set to lodge his plans officially with the competition.
According to reports, the Manchester United and LA Galaxy great will soon complete a package of information including the identity of investors and sponsors, plans for a new stadium as well as a temporary playing home and his business plan.
Beckham is keen to develop a 25,000-capacity stadium on Dodge Island in downtown Miami and is looking to push through the plans for this before the New Year in order to gain a MLS license for a cut-price $15million.
