David Meyler has pleased Sunderland management since his return from suspension.

Meyler's response after returning from suspension has caught the eye of manager Steve Bruce.

"I have to say, David had a wonderful game against Manchester City," Bruce told safc.com. "It was great to see a young boy coming in, taking his chance and not being fazed by taking the game to the opposition.

"It was refreshing and fantastic to see. The kid did very, very well."
