Meyler feels more to come from him at Hull

David Meyler feels there's more to come from him at Hull City.

The Cork-born midfielder, still only 24, has thrived under Steve Bruce at the KC Stadium this season and blossomed alongside Tom Huddlestone and Jake Livermore.

He told the Daily Mail: "I wouldn't say I've cracked the Premier League. I have to be grateful to the manager for giving me the opportunity to come here and play regularly in the Premier League. It's been fantastic so far but we've still got six games to go.

"Hopefully I can answer that question differently in three years' time when I've got 100 Premier League games behind me. Maybe I'll have cracked it then, rather than after one season.

"I've developed as a player. I was probably young, raw and eager at the start, kicking and tackling everyone that got in my way. I'd say I've calmed down a lot now. I was a walking booking before, I'll take that.

"Where I come from everybody loved a tackle. That's what got everyone going. Everyone was getting kicked off the ball and on the ball.

"I probably took that over here and it was hard to take to begin with. The Premier League is tight margins with tackling and you've got to be careful.

"Look at me now compared to last season and I probably don't tackle half as much. If I do tackle now I know for a fact I'll need to win the ball.

"I've matured and got older and now I've got a better understanding of the game. I've played in a few different positions and that's helped me to develop. I'll play wherever the manager want me to play. If that's in goal then I'll be happy to do that."
