Mexico national team goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa will be free to leave current club America once his name is cleared from a recent doping scandal.
The transfer of Ochoa to French club AC Ajaccio was not completed this week even though his name appeared on the club's official website.
The Corsican club is close to securing Ochoa on a three-year deal but specifies that the deal can only be completed when he is cleared of the doping scandal that popped up during the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Five Mexico players, including Ochoa, were suspended for testing positive to a banned substance and a decision on any further action is expected by July 7 at the latest.
