Mexico coach Miguel Herrera has hailed the quality of Real Sociedad striker Carlos Vela.
Herrera rates the former Arsenal forward highly and wants him to end his Mexico exile.
"This is a new process, a new start as we prepare everything ahead of the 2018 World Cup and we have an opportunity to bring him back into our international set-up.
"We're all convinced that he should be here. We all know how good he is, he's an important role model and I think that right now he is the best Mexican playing in Europe," he said.
