Atletico Madrid striker Raul Jimenez struck both goals for Mexico in their friendly defeat to Belarus.
It was a welcome return to form for Raul, who has struggled with Atletico this season.
El Tri coach Miguel Herrera remarked: "I'm glad, Raul answered with goals and it shows in his attitude, his determination.
"He's shown he's ready to fight for his position in the team."
Raul has managed just the one goal for Atletico since his August arrival from Club America.
