Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim is weighing up buying a Spanish Liga club.

Forbes magazine rates Slim the richest man in the world and Record says he is considering buying Getafe.

Slim plans to emulate Manchester City and PSG by buying Getafe and turning them into an instant success.

It's not the first time Slim has been linked with a purchase of a Spanish club, having also come close to buying Real Oviedo and Real Sociedad in the past.
