The agent of Philippe Mexes says the Frenchman is happy at Roma.

Mexes has struggled for a place in Roma coach Claudio Ranieri's plans since his arrival.

But speaking to TuttoMercatoWeb, agent Olivier Jouanneaux said: "He's happy to stay in Rome, so I don't understand these rumours.

"The club hasn't said anything, so how can we think Mexes will be moving to another team in January? Moreover there isn't a deal between Milan and Fiorentina, because the Rossoneri don't have the player's rights.

"There has only been interest in the summer."
