Martin Jol was delighted for new Fulham boss Rene Meulensteen after victory over Aston Villa.
Meulensteen has revealed that Jol sent him a text message after Sunday's 2-0 win against Aston Villa to congratulate him on the result.
Meulensteen, who remains close friends with Jol despite replacing him, said: "Our relationship will not change because we have known each other for many years. He knows that this is football."
