Meulensteen goes defensive at Fulham

Fulham boss Rene Meulensteen is ready to ramp up his defensive tactics this week.

The Daily Mail says defeat in the FA Cup, an embarrassing exit at the hands of League One side Sheffield United on Tuesday, has forced the issue.

Meulensteen is still in charge - just - and he knows Fulham owner Shahid Khan is expecting a response when the team go to Manchester United on Sunday.

The Dutch coach will spend the next three days working on defensive drills with a team who have conceded a staggering 53 goals in the Barclays Premier League this season.
