Christoph Metzelder has declared this season will be his last at Real Madrid.

The Germany defender admits even if Real were to offer him new terms, he would turn them down.

"No, I think the club won't be extending my contract. But even if the situation changed suddenly, I myself would end my adventure in Madrid," said Metzelder.

"While training with great players has enriched me greatly, it has been, sincerely, three lost years."
