Metgod has no grudge against Portsmouth

Johnny Metgod holds no grudge against Portsmouth after his sacking as assistant manager last month.

"I don't want to get into what happened at Portsmouth," said the former Nottingham Forest star. "It has been a good experience, but it didn't turn out the way we wanted. But in life, there is no use in looking back at things.

"You always have to look ahead. You have to stay positive and wait for another chance. What happened at Pompey is history. I don't like to look back at what might have been or what could have changed.

"It's not worth it any more.

"There are no hard feelings - that's life. Sometimes life surprises you in one way or another.

"Getting sacked is always a possibility in football. Without going into the details, it is something that you just have to accept and look for the next challenge."
