Mesut Ozil wants Arsenal stay despite 'slow down'

Mesut Ozil wants to stay with Arsenal, it has been revealed.

The Germany midfielder is inside the final year of his contract and it's been claimed he hasn't heard from the club about new terms since February.

BILD says despite his treatment, Ozil's priority is to stay with the Gunners.

Indeed, the midfielder remains eager to discuss a new contract with Arsenal - though management have shown little enthusiasm from their side of the table.

Yesterday, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger denied they were pushing Ozil out of the club, insisting that contract talks had only "slowed down".
