The agent of Giandomenico Mesto expects Liverpool to soon make an offer for the Reggina midfielder.

Moreno Roggi said last night: "I'm sure that by the end of the market those that are interested in my client will make serious offers.

"Roma, AC Milan and Lazio have been interested in him for a long time, but there is also Liverpool.

"Their general manager, Eduardo Macia, asked after Mesto when he was working with Valencia, and now could make a move to add him to Rafa Benitez's team."
