Lionel Messi insists that competing with Cristiano Ronaldo is not on his agenda.
The Argentine and Barcelona maestro and Portuguese and Real Madrid ace are regarded as the best two footballers in the world with fans always interested in their form for both club and country.
Four-time FIFA Ballon d'Or winner Messi has a plethora of supporters in his corner while Ronaldo, winner of two of football's highest individual titles, has his share of fans but the former has made it clear that it is not a competition.
"Competing with Cristiano?" he told reporters.
"I don't feel like competing with him or anyone else. It's not about individual awards; I want to help my team."
So far this season, Messi has netted five Spanish La Liga goals in six outings and one in the Champions League while Ronaldo has 10 in five in the league and two in Europe.
