Lionel Messi was delighted with his goal scoring performance in Barcelona's 5-2 thumping of Champions League rivals Lyon last night.

"We have produced a great match, especially given it's importance and so that's how we played," said Messi.

"Last week I said we were again playing our best game and getting the results we wanted, and everything went well. With the second goal they were very quiet, we kept hold of the ball and played our game. They had no chance."

Asked about the quarterfinals draw, Messi added: "I do not care. Everyone deserves respect at these heights. All are great and all matches will be complicated."
