Messi on Barcelona form: Winning, in any way, is all that matters
Lionel Messi says Barcelona must step up their game against Champions League opponents Stuttgart if they want victory.
Barca warmed up for the game with a thumping win over Racing Santander.
But Messi warned: "At this point nothing is easy, so we have work more than ever to get a good result.
"I scored against Stuttgart two years ago and I believe my game hasn't changed since then. I will continue, as always, to score and help my team win."
Messi also admitted their last two performances against Atletico Madrid and Racing were up to their usual standard.
"Maybe we have not played like we've done, but at this stage usually you have to win either way," he added.

this game today is really going to be tough but we hope for victory.
You're right that Barca is good on the attack, and while ManU does have a solid defense, you may want to check your facts. Barca has only conceded 18 goals in domestic league, cup, and CL(3) (33 matches) while ManU has conceded 27 goals in domestic league, cup, and CL(8) (40 matches).
Yes, I know, different domestic leagues... still, Barca has proven they have a formidable defense even despite recent injuries.
barca plays attacking football constantly without ever giving a thought about the defence......whereas Manchester United plays effective attacking football with a solid back four.....
