Arsenal defender Per Mertesacker admits he would love to see Julian Draxler join him in north London.
The Gunners are in hot pursuit of the 20-year old Schalke ace with reports suggesting they are considering stumping up his £37million (45.4million) buyout fee.
Whether or not he does happen to make his way to the Emirates Stadium, fellow German Mertesacker insists Draxler would be a great addition to Arsene Wenger's squad.
"He is a great talent," Mertesacker told the London Evening Standard.
"He has already made a big impact at Schalke and in the German national team, despite his young age.
"He would be very welcome here. I'm excited to see what happens."
