Arsenal defender Per Mertesacker has revealed the players rallied around Mesut Ozil at halftime of their win over Marseille.
Mertesacker revealed that the team gave Ozil, 25, a half-time pep talk after his spot-kick howler.
"He looked like his head was going down," said Mertesacker, "but especially at half-time we said [to him], 'We don't care, we just get on', and that's just what he did. He never gave up. Especially in the second half when we scored the second goal. He was the threat and he was in the right position to cross the ball to Jack."
