Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger needs to make a big name signing, says Gunners hero Paul Merson.
Wenger has been handed a £70m transfer kitty this summer, but has yet to splash the cash.
"Arsenal fans will be angry if the club don't get anyone in," Merson told Sky Sports.
"Yaya Sanogo came in on a free and I spent more on my sandwich!
"They have been promised the earth and nothing has happened yet. For the first time, Arsenal have been linked with big players like Luis Suarez, Higuain and Gustavo.
"Arsenal fans have spent a lot of money on their season tickets and they want a return for their investment."
