Camel Meriem's hopes of landing a Blackburn Rovers contract are set to be dashed.

The Mirror says Rovers boss Sam Allardyce wants the former Monaco midfielder to join him in a bargain deal, but his money men are objecting because he is not 'home grown' and the club are worried about that future problem.

The delay is the latest frustration for Allardyce who spent his budget in the last window and now has to sell to bring in any more significant captures.
